This is an ORIGINAL Bronze French Art Nouveau Medal commemorating the tomb of the Unknown Soldier of France from WWI (Actually the entombment ceremony occurred in November 1920).  The medal was sculpted by Paul-Marcel Dammann (1865-1939).  It is a large 67 mm (a little more than 2 5/8 inch) in diameter and weighs 139 grams (4.8 oz).  It was struck by the by the Monnaie de Paris and is edge marked BRONZE along with the cornucopia mint mark.  This is an EXTREMELY RARE 1920 ORIGINAL bronze medal and is in STRONG AU condition with only tiny areas of high point rub.  NO reserve.
