Set of 4 transportation tokens New Castle, Pennsylvania. Tokens in the lot and their condition are as follows: PA695Aa - Penn-Ohio System - strike date unknown - Bronze - very good condition PA695Ab - Penn-Ohio System - strike date unknown - Bronze - excellent condition PA695B - Shenango Valley Transportation Co - circa 1943 - Zinc- good condition PA695C - Shenango Valley Transportation Co - circa 1945 - Steel - good condition The above is offered from the Raymond Ekman collection. Ray was a serious collector who accumulated thousands of tokens over the course of 40 years. During this time, he became something of an expert on the subject. Several of his articles were published by the American Vecturist Association, of which he was an active member. All information about these tokens is based on his original notes, so please do let me know if anything does not make sense to you. All of his tokens will eventually be offered for auction.
