He said I've got to get to Zimbawe by Friday, I told him, "You'll never make it", but I put him in a taxi to McCarron anyway. I did get one last phone call from Olengi, collect of course mind you, from Heathrow airport in London, it was Friday and he was telling me he would see me next year in New Orleans for Mardi Gras. I've been looking for him ever since then, sometimes mistaking him for that large man in the crowd on the balcony thowing handsfull of beads in wild abandon to the masses below .
