This is a large 62 mm (just under 2 ½ ”) in diameter, 150-gram (5.2 oz) high relief bronze medal, The National Arts Club Medal of Honor. The medal was sculpted by Karl Heinrich Gruppe (1893 - 1982). Gruppe had a very distinguished career and produced the Society of Medallists 46th issue in 1952, and also sculpted (or finished) the Gilbert Stuart and Mary Lyon Medals for the HOF series. The medal was struck by the Medallic Art Company (MACO) ca 1951. It is in MINT condition. This is an EXTREMELY RARE medal. I will combine postage for winning bidders of multiple items. Look at my other auctions for more quality Medals.
