  the confederation centennial reverse design by alex colville, was a rock dove,a rabbit,a mackerel,a wildcat(bobcat),a howling wolf,canada goose,canadian coat of arms.in 1967 to commemorate the canadian centennial a $20.00 centennial gold coin was struck.it is the only coin of the centennial series that does not have the dates 1867-1967.it was released only in the black leather presentation cased set of centennial coins.   in 1967.the design of queen elizabeth ll and the reverse was an adaption of the canadian coat of arms used on the 50 cent coin of 1959.in 1967 a special reverse consisting of a canadian goose in flight was employed to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the confederation of provinces to form the dominion of canada a rare variety of the early trial strikes exists with flat fields and the apex of letter 'A' in dollar pointing directly to a bead.on the regular issue the fields are concave and the apex of letter'A' points between two beads.diameter; 36.068 mm weigh;23.327 grams;composition; .800 silver, .200 copper;reeded edge.this auction is for the one sent five ten twentyfive fiftycent&onedollar in silver+the canadian goose in flight one dollar gold over silver coin.  on august 1st 1968 the diameter and weight were reduced and pure nickel used for the entire issue.
