Ultra Rare Ten Commandments 1 oz each Silver Bars minted by Hamilton Mint in 1978.  Only 250 sets were minted.  Catalog number HAM-22 thru HAM-31. The bars are shaped like the tablets of Moses and the front have the images depicting each commandment.  The Reverse have the commandment written on it.  I will not identify them anymore as you and I both know what they are.  The reverse also has "The Hamilton Mint" marked on it. Hard to find in the market, and when it does, it's either separately into pieces or outrageously priced as a set.  I've seen pieces come by here at eBay get sold for up to $60-$65 per piece.  Value is in the set.  Starting bid is set at $499.99 to protect the investment.  Buy-It-Now is priced at $649.99. Imagine how many survived the Great Melt and how many are still together in its original box. Comes in hard acrylic airtite holder.  However, one bar (10th Commandment) is missing a cover.  The bars have toning on the edges and the box and frame have some nicks and showing some wear due to the age of the set.  It's a nice set to have, besides, silver is silver.   Payment is required within 7 days upon end of auction.  Item will be shipped via USPS Parcel Post with Delivery Confirmation within 2 days upon receipt of cleared payment.  Insurance is offered for an additional fee.  Money Order or check payments gets 50% discount in shipping.  Please wait for an invoice.   Email allin1treasures@yahoo.com if you have any questions.     About Silver Silver is no longer known as just a precious metal, a store of investment value, a work of art or an industrial or commodity metal.  It is all of these.  The situation for silver is even more bullish than it is for gold because silver is not only desirable, alongside gold, as hedge and protection against monetary inflation, and the demand for silver continue to increase. Gold is often found in ‘pyramid form’, i.e. the deeper you dig, the more grams per tonne.  In the case of silver, it is the other way around.  Most of the silver is found close to the surface.  It is a fact that most of the easy silver has already been dug up, and used up.  During the past 50 years we have collectively ‘consumed’ the estimated 5 billion ounces that were dug up during the past 5,000 years.  In the late 1950’s, the US strategic stockpile consisted of some 2.5 billion ounces.  All of that silver is now gone, used up!   About Silver Art Bars Silver art bars are popular because of its uniquie miniature work of art depicting variaties of subjects and themes, and because of its precious metal content.  The difference in silver art bar versus other collectibles (figurines, etc) is its portability and durability.  It's practically unbreakable and last for a lifetime, and can be brought anywhere.  The rare fine silver content is a guarantee that this work of art will always be valuable.  To the serious collector, the current price of silver does not factor as much as its ultimate value, which are in its artistic content and rarity.  Currently, the most sought after silver art bars are those that were minted in the 70's and 80's.   About Silver Art Bars Collecting Silver Art Bars are highly collectible and new collectors join the ranks every day.  During the Great Melt of the early 80's, people eagerly lined up to the melting pot with their silver collection still in original boxes, significantlly dropping its mintages.  Whatever is left of the original mintages are unknown, and it is believed that the melted bars may had far outnumbered what remains in existence today.  Most of the rare bars are locked in museums or in the hands of serious collectors, or kept in homes as heirlooms passed on to generations, or donated to institutions, hence, are not available for sale.  For those with an eye to the future, the current precious metal content value of the collection is not very meaningful compared to its artistic and rarity value.  However, if the price of silver increases dramatically as forecasted by experts, the value of these rare silver art bars will increase in much greater value.
