King Charles I
Charles I (November 19th, 1600 to January 30th, 1649) was King of England, Scotland and Ireland from March 27th, 1625 until his death. He famously engaged in a struggle for power with Parliament; he believed in the divine right of kings. Charles practiced High Anglicanism, most likely because the ritual and pomp enhanced his status as ruler without threatening him with a rival source of power such as a Pope. Many in England feared that he was attempting to gain absolute power. There was widespread opposition to his taxation policy. The other source of displeasure for his subjects was that many were Calvinist or Roman Catholic. His wife was Catholic and for her to be so close to the throne while he suppressed that faith was intolerable for many. Also, his aforementioned fixation with ritual was highly unpopular with his Calvinist subjects who saw him as a closet Catholic. Without a doubt, Charles was trying to forge his own absolute middle, taking no sides but his own and pleasing no one but himself, resulting in his overthrow and subsequent death.

If the characters don’t look quite right, go to the bottom of my About Me Page and download the fonts there. I use some very specialized (and some that are just cool looking) fonts since I deal with coins that often have Greek, Hebrew, Latin, Russian & other languages on them.

Payment: Personal Checks from US Banks in US funds ok, ABSOLUTELY no Personal Checks will be accepted from outside the United States due to risk and cost. Checks must clear before shipping. Non-US/Canadian residents must pay electronically via Paypal. Please do not try to negotiate the shipping costs or terms of payment when the auction has ended.
Contact: I value your contact, I do not mind it when little or no contact is made and I am paid promptly, I do mind when my emails go ignored and no payment seems to be forthcoming. Bidders who fail to make contact and take a long time to pay drive me (and just about every other seller) nuts. I’m not unreasonable, if you need to wait till the end of the week to get paid or something tell me - it’s cool, but do not ignore me. Please do not abuse my 14 day payment period.
Return Policy: You should notify within 15 days of receipt if you wish to return an item, lifetime warranty for authenticity, returns will be refunded minus shipping. Items must not be altered. I am an ANA member and conduct myself in accordance with it's constitution, bylaws and code of ethics.
!! Do not bid if you do not intend to pay, any auction not paid for in full within 14 days will be reposted and negative feedback and a non-paying bidder notice will be filed!!
YES! I do combine auctions. However, they must end with no more than 7 days from each other.
Buyers outside the United States assume all responsibility for any custom fees, etc. I reserve the right to rebill or refund overseas customers who underpay for shipping.
INTERNATIONAL BIDDERS WELCOME! Check out my other fine US, Ancient and World coin auctions! Conversion rates available on my "ME" page.
I accept £ Pounds and € Euros via Paypal!
If you win an auction listed in Pounds or Euros and you live in the UK or Europe, go ahead and pay in Pounds or Euros. If you live in the USA and won an auction listed in Pounds or Euros, ask for an invoice in Dollars – believe me, if you use Paypal it is cheaper for both of us that way due to "Border Fees".
DOCUMENTATION, CONSERVATION, HONESTY, THRIFT & SUCCESSFUL SHIPPING - 5 REASONS TO BUY FROM ME
The way buying coins should be:
In most cases ID’d and catalogued with a reference number unless noted, PEDIGREE or PROVENANCE listed as often as possible for ancient and older world coinage.
Housed in an archival safe, PVC-Free flip.
Honestly described and accurately pictured, any enhancement of the picture such as lightening or darkening will be noted. Any missing elements such as toning, color, scratches or finish (many pictures do not catch everything) will be noted as well.
Sales made or listed in other currencies will be accurately billed by the exchange rate of that day, I will not pad the exchange rate as some other sellers do.
I have shipped to Argentina, Australia, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, England, France, Germany, Italy, Malta, Mexico, Netherlands, Poland, Russia, Scotland, Singapore, Spain, South Korea and all over the United States and have suffered only 1 loss - to Italy.
Thank you for viewing my auctions - be sure to check the rest, more will be posted shortly and good luck bidding!
