Here is a very nice encased coin from Illinois, both the copper cent and its aluminum enclosure in splendid condition overall, the unit measuring app. 1 & 3/8" across. There is only minimal wear and some tiny edge imperfections on this otherwise bright and clean early token, the coin slightly rotated but tight as a drum.
The obverse features a 1946 Philadelphia Mint Lincoln wheat cent surrounded by an upside-down horseshoe, with "Keep Me And You Will Have Good Luck" inside the shoe, a four-leaf clover at the bottom. The reverse has "Oak Park Federal - Savings & Loan Association" around the coin, with "104 N. Marion St." at the bottom. Super! $1.99 |
