Lot of 25 Eisenhower IKE Dollars (25 Coins)While the IKE Dollar is often referred to as a "Silver Dollar", there is no silver content in the coin.  The term silver refers to the color of the coin... not the material used to make the coin. During the years 1971-1978, the U.S. government issued out the Eisenhower Dollar. It was the first U.S. dollar that did not make use of a precious metal. In fact, it was composed of 100% copper, with its outer layer composed of 75% copper and 25% nickel.The Eisenhower Dollar was America's last large size Dollar coin ever minted and is a treasured piece of American history. The Ike Dollar will always hold a special place in the heart of any American coin collectors. The Ike Dollar holds the largest portrait of a president, or any real person for that matter, to ever appear on a regular-issue American coin. It is also considered very unique, since it is the last of the great traditional size 38 mm dollar series.The obverse of the coin features Dwight D. Eisenhower, the WWII hero and President of the US from 1953-1961. The reverse of the coins is an adaptation of the official Apollo 11 mission patch showing an American eagle landing on the moon (to symbolize the "Eagle" Lunar Module which brought the first men to the moon in 1969).The obverse of the 1976 coins have a dual date "1776 - 1976" to make them the first and only dual dated circulating Dollar Coin. I have not and do not search these coins so if you are wanting UNSEARCHED coins please bid on my coins.  Here is how your coins will be selected, I randomly reach into and pull out of a bag of Ike Dollars the first 25 coins.   The first 25 coins that I pull out, get packaged and shipped.  The bag which started with $1,000 when I got it, was sealed and stamped as having last been counted some years ago by a Bank.  I do not pay attention to year of the coins or the assortment of the years or lack of assortment of the years or which mint they came from. I figured that if I sorted the coins in any way, then my statement that these are "unsearched coins" would then be false.  I want to make sure all bidders are aware that I make no claim that you will get a sample of each year, all I know is you will truely get 25 unsearched coins.  This way you will be the first to know what years or mint marks you have gotten, it will be random, odds are that no two shipments will be the same but no guarantees as to the assortment you may receive.Thanks for looking at my coins and Good Luck with your bidding!
