The Nazi influenced coins had a very short run in Germany from 1933 - 1945 and the heavier metal coins such as this example where made from 1936 to early 1940. The lower denomination coins where then minted in cheaper lighter metals from late 1940 to the end of WW2 as the heavier metals where required for the war effort.
