Fr. 1314 50c Narrow Margin
Reverse Specimen
1863-1867
Fr. 1314 50c, Narrow Margin Reverse Specimen, Second Issue, About New Condition. The Second Issue ran from Oct.10, 1863 to Feb.23, 1867. This is a tougher type to find reverse specimen. Shield Remnants on the back, however the intense collectivity of these examples warrant PMG Grading.
Fractional Specimens were given to the general public and banks for the purpose of counterfeit detection. These notes were only printed on one side, uniface obverse or reverse. All notes of this issue have the same design, the head of Washington in a bronze oval frame, and each denomination has a different color on the back. NO RESERVE!!!
Specimens are highly collectible and the market for these examples grows stronger every year.
