This auction is for one note from the FARMERS BANK OF BUCKS COUNTY in Bristol, PA. It is a $2 dated June 18, 1841, with a very low serial number of 226. All unissued or unredeemed notes from this bank were destroyed by the bank when it became a National Bank and discontinued the use of its currency. All know examples of notes from this bank are cut canceled.
CONDITION: The signatures are still bold and clear to read, but the serial number is slightly faded. As you can see by the scan it has many folds, portions missing, and cut canceled. The paper is extremely thin, but is protected within the hard plastic (inert) case, which it will be shipped in.
I prefer payment thru PAYPAL from confirmed addresses only. I also accept personal checks (preprinted with personal information), bank checks/money orders, or USPS money orders. Paying by check will delay shipping until it clears my bank.
Shipping is USPS Priority Mail at a flat rate of $6.50. Insurance is optional, but highly recommend. PAYPAL paid items ship the next business day.
I have other Farmers Bank notes listed this week also. Thanks for looking and good luck!
