Here is a very nice commemorative medal, in splendid condition overall, measuring app. 1 & 5/16" across, with a plain edge. This fine tribute appears to be made of a gilt brass or bronze, and it shows only minimal wear, with a little color variation and a small reverse spot not too distracting, and I have not cleaned this in any way.      The obverse pictures the highly-regarded United Nations Secretary facing left, with "Dag H. A. C. Hammarskjold" around the top, the dates "1905-1961" at the bottom flanked by tiny flowers. The reverse pictures the symbol of the world body, in the form of a lined world globe, a plain wreath around, and there is a miniscule "S & Co." at the bottom. Sweet. $1.99
