For every show you see 25, 50 or hundreds of hands move the gear, plug it in and work the ropes, sound and magic. (you all thought "roadies did it all"). Like the performers, we have dedicated ourselves to this wacked out life style so that "Normal folks" can "have a WONDERFUL" time. Hard work, good times, and many times I get to run a spotlight on the show or work as a deck hand or camera operator. For this we often get a token of esteem from the management of the entertainer involved. Ninety-five times out of a hundred it is and extra large T shirt with the bands name on it and the "best wishes to our LOCAL CREW". This so we can advertise that WE worked on their SHOW and start a conversation almost everywhere we go (that is because these are now the only T shirts in our stack of T shirts and we only have these to wear. But it is a stack, and the ones that were never worn (and a few that were worn once - I'll explain later} and have either been SAVED for a rainy day or because we had a bad experience or did not care to wear "that" shirt. This is where YOU come in. Maybe you like that artist or went to that show. Show shirts start at $20 on the low side and some get twice as much for their merchandising. LOCAL CREW shirts ARE SPECIAL. Often they do not look anything like the colorful paint job shirt. PEOPLE want them because they are run in lower numbers, they are scarce and therefore more valuable.
