Greetings and welcome to my auction. Today I have on offer a tanka of Mahmud I of the Delhi sultanate (as the English named him. See below for his official name. It was minted between 1246 and 1266. This coin is approximately 750 years old, and is made of silver. Delhi Sultan - Nasir Al-Din Mahmud (AH 644-664 / AD 1246-1266) / Silver Tanka - Hadrat Delhi - Nice condition. Obv : Ruler's titles within Double square in Circle: annulets in segments, ibn or bin in fourth line. Rev :Legends : Caliph al-Mut'asim, within double square in circles.
