Here is a nice aVF bronze coin of the Phoenician city of Arados, located in what is present-day Lebanon. The coin was minted in the 2nd Century BC, and has a beautiful hard natural brown patina. This lovely coin has been in my collection for over 20 years!
OBVERSE: Head of Zeus, facing right.
REVERSE: Triple-pointed ram of a galley, facing left. Above, Phoenician inscription.
SIZE: 14 mm
