50c Spinner, Red Back, autograph with Fantastic Margins
Fr.1328 Third Issue 50c. Portrait of F.E. Spinner. This is the very desirable redback (first type reverse) and has the autograph signatures of Colby and Spinner. This is a beautiful note in the sense of the margins which are bold and jumbo and far beyond what you normally see on this type of note. It grades VF, however, the greatest majority of anything you see in VF will not look like this one. The margins really make it special. There is a bit of ink erosion in the F and the E of Spinners big ornate signature. The inks of this period were very acidic and some eropsion in the autograph notes is quite normal. You could search years to find a third issue Spinner or Justice type 50c note with margins like these on both sides. A wonderful opportunity.
