This is a 1992 Kingston Stagecoach BU silver dollar, 92.5 % Sterling Silver, 7.5% copper. It is in the original plastic holder, with a Royal Canadian Mint cardboard slip cover. This is a low mintage coin of 78,160. Diameter: 36mm. Weight: 23.3276 g., .925 % Sterling Silver.
Don't be confused as a Proof Dollar issue. This is issued as a complement to the proof dollar, but lacks the cameo finish and leather box.
The reverse is the 1992 BU Silver Dollar commemorates the 175th anniversary of the first stage coach between Kingston and York in January 1817. Samuel Purdy was only able to maintain regular service during the winter months, hence the sleigh with runners. This is the first issue of a dollar coin in STERLING SILVER since the pattern dollar was struck in London by the Royal Mint in 1911.
The obverse is Elizabeth II. Crowned head right.
