1978 Russian(CCCP) 9 Coin UNC Mint Set In Plastic Case
1978 Russian (CCCP) 9 Coin UNC Mint Set in Box with papers I have a HEAVY footlocker of foreign coins to sell. It’s mostly (by volume) mint and proof sets, but there are several single and double row boxes of singles and small bulk bags (circ through proof). There are even some Whitman blue three-fold coin set albums (I think mostly British). Some of the coins and sets are common, some are super low mintage. This lot consists of a very nicely preserved 1978 Russian (CCCP) UNC Mint Set, with 9 Coins and TWO golden colored Leningrad Mint Medallions, inside a hard plastic case. The set is in it’s original sale box of issue (there is a small tape tear of the front cover, as shown in the picture). It comes with two papers, one describing the appearance of the set, the other is a guarantee of satisfaction from the original US Sales Company, Paramount—unfortunately, it expired in 1981! The coins look more proof-like than other Russian Mint set coins I have seen—Very Sharp details and edges. The coins are well presented and except for two of the Brass coins with patches of darkening on one side only, are well preserved (my guess is fingermark smudges from handling during their encapsulation , which reacted over time). The pictures are of the set the successful bidder will receive. The lot totals 9 coins in all. The total weight is approximately 5 ounces-shipping weight will be more, but should not exceed 9 ounces with padding. For US addresses, I will use a padded mailer, and First Class. Postage will be $2.53, plus insurance (to be based on final sales price) and/or delivery confirmation. For non-US addresses, I will have to quote to your shipping instructions (I will use 9 ounces for quote purposes). All customs and VAT, and the like, will be the buyers responsibility.
