I know this as I have been the buyer of "Choice Gem BU" rolls that I have to use half the coins for junk silver and end up with half a roll of average uncirculated coins. In these rolls I take out most of the badly toned or carbon spotted coins and I have a box for junk silver coins and any that are not so good go there.
