1952 Ben Franklin Half Dollar 90% Silver I will not attempt to grade coins. I am not an expert. It is a circulated coin, but has been resting in my stash for almost twenty years.Please look at the photographs. They are the actual item.NOTICETHIS COIN WAS POLISHED.When I started preparing to list my coins I thought by cleaning them I would get a sharper picture for my auction.I have since read some of eBay's reviews and guides and learned that this was not a great idea.Unless of course your a professional, as a means to properly grade a coin.Rest assured I used only Q-Tips and soft cloth with a cleaner listed as safe for all metals.I did NOT spend more than 30 seconds on any coins listed.As my focus was to remove built up dirt that hid features of the coin only, you will still see small spots of gunk on smooth surfaces, and inside the letters and digits.I did NOT use any abrasives.I did NOT use any automated or other cleaning process other than as described above.I did get some great help from the eBay guides and reviews.Here is one link I found to be helpful.http://reviews.ebay.com/Cleaning-coins-old-and-new-How-to-guide-Buyers-Beware_W0QQugidZ10000000001263322Anyway, because I did polish this coin, I am auctioning it with a starting bid that is less than the current melt value.
