1921 Morgan Silver Dollar.  UNTOUCHED FOR 79 YEARS!  Anyone on Ebay can sell you a circulated Morgan Dollar.  This one has a special story! In 1925 my great grandfather opened a grocery store.  In 1929, he experienced the great depression.  Fearful of placing money in the banking system he began to turn the money he made into coins.  He saved Morgan Dollars and Walking Liberty Half Dollars.  He would place the coins in metal boxes and hide them in his home. After his death he passed the business down to my grandfather who throughout the years would discover these hidden coin boxes in the store from time to time.  In 1974, it was believed that the last of the hidden coins were found. My father had taken over the business in 1980 and in January of 2008 he sold it.  All of the old antique furnishings were removed and sold.  After removing a display cases which had been in place since the business opened, 4 more metal boxes of coins from the depression and World War II era were discovered.  This coin is part of that last discovery. This coin has been untouched since 1929!  It was in circulation from 1921 - 1929.  This coin can be professionally graded, however, I do not want to incur the expense.  I believe that this coin is AU/BU, but I am not a professional coin grader.  If this coin were to be "slabbed" it would "probably" be classified as an "MS coin" and be worth much more than its current sale price. A DELIVERY CONFIRMATION CHARGE OF $1.27 WILL BE ADDED TO ALL INVOICES.  IN ADDITION I WILL ADD .73 CENTS TO THE INVOICE TO PLACE THE COIN IN A PROTECTIVE COIN HOLDER ENCASED IN BUBBLE WRAP.
