1875-S Twenty Cent Piece MS64 PCGS. A very nicely preserved and problem-free example of this ever-popular 19th Century type coin. The obverse shows a rich overlay of natural steel-grey toning with soft orange and green, and with hints of violet coloration. The reverse is white and lustrous with a light champaign toning. Well struck overall, especially on the reverse: the left (facing) wingtip showing unusual detail, as this is normally an area of striking weakness on this series. No marks are noted that are worthy of mention, although a couple of very tiny ticks that can be seen only with a lens do appear in the reverse fields. Population: 382 in MS64; 211 are graded higher. Trends: $2,500.00 (Coin World/Coin Values--Aug. 2008). Coin will be shipped to winning bidder by way of USPS Express Mail and fully insured.
