1869 $1 U.S. NoteABSOLUTELY BREATHAKING
1869 $1 U.S. Legal Tender Note GRADE: XF+++++ This auction is for a 1869 $1 Legal Tender Note. Everything about this beautiful note is exceptional, from top to bottom. The corners and egdes are all sharp and crisp. This notes only flaw that I can see is a fold line that goes directly down the middle. This fold line is very hard to see and is only noticable if you look very closely. The paper quality is great as the note is crisp and crackles when holding it. The detail through this $1 masterpiece is truly fantastic. This is the kind of note that you never get tired or admiring. The coloring in the note is still fantastic, as the bright red serial numbers (B4114684*) pop out at you. The grade I gave this note, in my mind, is a gift. I graded it at XF+++ because I dont want someone to buy this and not agree with the grade of AU-50. This note is at bare minimum a 45, but as I said I would rather error on the side of the buyer than for myself. This is my hobby, not my profession.
