1862 $5 Confederate States of America. T-53. A very pretty note with a lot of freshness left in it. It has the vignette of the Capitol at Richmond. PCGS has Certified and Graded this note as Apparent Choice About New 55. PCGS notes that there are scuffs on back. Indeed there are two circular scuffs on the back side (pictured) no doubt from an old mounting which was quite common, especially with Confederate Currency. One is a bit smaller than a dime and the other is way smaller than that. Not nearly enough to seriously detract from the overall great look of this note. Without the little scuffs you would certainly expect to pay over $100 for this note. As it is you may be able to save a few dollars. Enjoy! OPENS at 9.99 only and SELLS at NO RESERVE. |
