1860 Three Cent Piece Type 3 Die Clash Marks 286,000
This bid is for an 1860 Type 3 Three cent silver coin in very solid, problem-free condition. You will have to self-grade from the scans. Coin has a very nice, strong strike, sharp rims, minimal wear, and horizontal and parallel die clash marks between the Roman numerals on the reverse. With a low mintage of only 286,000, the total mintage might have very well fit into a large suit case. The mintage on this piece is lower than the 1909 S Indian Head cent and the 1909 S VDB Lincoln cent. If this three cent piece is not AU, it is about as close as you can get.
